PrompTRex is designed with a "Local First" philosophy. We believe your AI interactions are your private property.

The Local-First Rule

Unlike traditional cloud assistants, PrompTRex captures and stores your prompt history **locally on your machine** in standard JSONL files. No data is transmitted to our servers automatically. Transmission only occurs when you explicitly initiate a `sync` command.

Authentication

We use secure **third-party authentication (Google)** to verify your identity. We store only essential profile metadata (email, display name) required to secure and personalize your dashboard.

Cloud Storage

Synced data is stored in isolated partitions within our distributed edge database (Cloudflare D1). Access is cryptographically enforced; only you can view or search your history.

No Training, No Selling

We do not and will never sell your prompt history or metadata to third parties. Furthermore, **we do not use your prompt data to train public AI models.** Your data serves one purpose: powering your private intelligence dashboard.

Data Portability & Rights

You retain absolute ownership of your data. You may export your local history or request permanent deletion of your cloud-synced data at any time via the dashboard or through our contact form.
